Being as he was warming up for John Digweed its unlikely he would bang it out. I cant say I've ever thought of Howells as a DJ who bangs it out ever.

I've heard him bang it out every time I've seen him play. Not necessarily the whole time or even most of the time, but he can definitely bang it out.

danny is the shit, seen him 5 or 6 times starting with his us tour @ crobar in chicago when he put his nubreed cd out and have loved his stuff ever since. can rock it and also put out gorgeous downtempo stuff ala 24:7 or his eclectic RA/essential mixes as hes done in the past. met him years ago on his 24:7 tour and was super friendly too. one of my all time favs.

Funny he doesn't bang it out on any of his sets. I'm guessing you didn't read the Man With The Red Face thread on In The Mix about his Renaissance Masters Tour last year.

it was my first howells live experience, i only listened to the 3rd hour an he was stunning... especially the last track he played which banged it out a loooooooot and invited digweed's sounds

Trying to read between the lines on his twitter and I think this is the 2nd hour. I would also say he bangs it out in a few of his sets, Luv Athens & Opium Beach Club 2005 he drops some bangin techno for short periods.

One of the most banging sets I've ever heard was a Howells set from Ultra in Miami from the carl cox arena..Banging from start to finish! Cant remember if it was from 2005 or 2006, nontheless i know he banged it out both years and every year that he was at ultra for that matter. I know that one of those years was def broadcast maybe it was the 2006 one. Check it out Chunky for you will hear Danny banging it out, by far the greatest and most versatile Dj I have ever had the pleasure to listen to

^ Memorable night, loved it. Petar's set was phenomenal, did anyone get their hands on it? Danny delivered an awesome build up set, though I think the sound system in the main room had something wrong that night, the sound in room 2 was much better. Guy J was okay, Alan was full on techno. Diggers played lots of bedrock classics, then left the decks for 5 minutes and he went for a piss, serious! But an awesome night that delivered.
