    Depeche Mode last night!

    Fulfilled an ambition of mine last night by seeing Depeche Mode in action at the NEC Arena, Birmingham.

    They were brilliant! Some of the newer tunes didnt go down too well but the oldies had the place rocking! Enjoy The Silence was epic.

    BUT the highlight for me was standing up to let a guy walk past, and realising it was Paul Oakenfold! Had to shake him by the hand and tell him what a legend he is! At the end as he was leaving his missus asked if I wanted a pic with him, an offer I duly took up! Was on a high all night! I don't care what you say about his music now, but he WAS a legend back in the day!

                                          Greg - how long did DM play for and what time did they finish ?

                                          Need to know as my Bro has to get from the MEN to WHP on friday.

                                              very cool! would love to see dm live, and getting a pic with oakenfold would be very cool, saw him a few times back in the day and he did a shitload for this genre of music.

                                                  DM came on about 9 ish and played until about 10.30, but the encore took it past 11pm.

                                                      Great quote, as for Oakie, get plenty of him still in Vegas and after shooting some vids for his Perfecto night, he is top bloke regardless how many times he trainwrecks in a night; the crowd there for him does not care and the show is a lot like cirque de soliel (sp?) meets a rave.
