Shpongle - Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland appreciation thread

The motive of the CD is the motto of the album...rise high with the diverse sounds of Shpongle lol. They are one of my all time fav bands and end November, they have released a new CD. My copy arrived last week and I have been playing this album at least 10 times already. They are partially repeating themselves but their new album is still unique. If you like weird sounds and all kind of Genres put together in long and evolving tracks mixing electronic productions with real acoustic sounds from various instruments, check this one out. For me it is the holy production Grail from 2009 for sure. If you ask for a Style, I have problems lol...eerm maybe Space Rock, Techno, Psy, Ambient, Ethnic, or eeermmm whatever. It's good, complex and refreshingly surprising music that sends you on a travel to Outer Space and back if you give it a chance. Headphone listening for the full thrill is highly recommended.

Tom - you introduced me to Shpongle- and they are fantastic - so i'm always greatful for the headsup.

But i thought this album was really weak (for them). There is nothing wrong with it - but it sounds like a load of other things they have done and others have doen since. Just not unique.

Everyone should own - Are You Shpongled tho!!
