IMHO, Ren and Stimpy is the best cartoon ever created...funny as hell, great animation, writing , sound effects, music....and pretty damn gross.....you can't beat the dumb cat and pissed off dog.....

Family Guy is tops too but they don't make'em like they use too.

There's lots of classics - but only one real contender for the title of "best cartoon ever" and that of course is the Simpsons - no other cartoon matches the scale and consistancy of the Simpsons.

Simpsons and as for old school cartoons, the loony toons and hanna barbara cartonns are classics.
