I will be making my first trip up to montreal to catch Burridge & Hawtin
Has anyone ever been to Aria? How is it? How is the security? Is there anyone going?
Thanks
one of the best nights i've ever had in my life was at Aria. crowd is slightly younger than I'm used to, but it's ok since Canada doesn't treat those younger than 18 (or 21 as it were) like children as they do here. go and enjoy.
Awesome place Ice cold Gatorade & Red bull- which tastes different than here.. sounds strange but really it's true.. more sugary..
Saw two shows there this Summer & both times just- Gggrr8 vibe!! Also- the DJ booth is surrounded w/ Plexiglass & so you can see by standing on the side, or right behind the booth.... & watch like you're in there
Beware when you come back up- as it's underground & you open up the doors to Reality of light!!
^^^^ Reality of light is always a very interesting moment to say the least. no matter how many times I experience that time of the night/morning, it always SUCKS! lol
Aria is all about the booth, maybe one of the best in the world. Been to many, many events there and have rarely not had a great time. Sound is really nice as well. The highs on the Aria system are crystal clear. Lots of snow in Montreal right now so beware.
WHAT'S GOING DOWN

i guess i shuold throw in something about how sick the lighting system is.... the best way i can describe it is that the lights in the main room are on hydraulic lift systems so they lower and raise.... hard to explain... im not sure ive ever seen anything like it anywhere else. Oh yeah, i believe Aria is equipped with Meyer sound everywhere!!
ps. if ur in the mood for some type of breakfast I highly reccomend going to Eggspectations <-- killer mimosa's to ease the pain of the border crossing!
yeah i saw luke fair, seb fontaine, daNnny howells, and naked chicks there 2 years ago and i have to admit that the club is sick, great sound, and the lighting systme is outrageos. one thing that sucks is that i'm irish and from buffalo, hence i like to drink, and they do not sell alcohol there, which was quite a shock. so my advice is to get loaded beforehand if that's your style....
