    Irish politics

Basically our country has gone from boom to bust in the space of 18 months, unemployment is close to 14%, we owe a shit load of cash, divide in public vs. private sector workers, major strikes recently and the goverment gave a shitty and unimaginative yearly budget last wedsday which to be honest i think we are gonna be one of the last eurozone countries to come out of recession.

Anyway a (TD) member of the Greens got quite pissed off last week in the Dail (parliment).. Its doing the rounds at home here but still find it funny.

That was awesome. I wish someone would say that to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

Ah, had my first visit to Ireland just 2 weeks ago and it's a beautiful country! But even to me the problems haven't gone unnoticed, and I think the Dutch govt could draw an example from the Irish Toiseach who cut his own pay by 20% if I'm not mistaken.
