Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
I'm worried that creating a few new subforums won't make any impact on the volume of sets posted here. He's had 11 sets posted in the past 3 months, which really only comes out to one per week. We must get 100 sets per week, so this wouldn't fix the out of control volume issues we have, but instead would only create another forum to place posts.
Richie Hawtin had 10 in 3 months, or Luciano has had 9. Do you think we should create one for them too? I like the idea of making this place easier to sort through, but I'm not convinced a subforum for every DJ is the way to go.Comment

Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
Diggers, Sasha and Hernan has one.. imo, Nick is the next step considering the direction of the music on MS... Besides, he is actually a member here..
IMO he deserves it more than Luciano or Richie.. Or any dj out there..

Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
This is just my opinion, but I think Richie has done way more for the music than Nick has. I think that's where the problem is here... deciding (and getting agreement on) what forums to createComment

Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
got my vote on a Nick/Jody thread 4 sure. As to the statement regarding the frequencies of his sets, I was under the impressions that the sub-forums were generated on QUALITY of the artist and not the frequency they release sets. If the factor is frequency of releases then Hernan definitley shouldn't have one. But he's a great A-lister, so akin to Jody and Nick he is much deserving. I'd rather see one great mix every two months than crappy ones every day. BTW who are these people voting for Tiesto, Van Buuren and their ilk. MS has a good amount of people and the vast majority seem to have very good taste that does not reflect these polls accuratley. So who are these people voting for the Trance guys and how do we stop them voting? 'Nuff said.Comment

Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
^additionally, I'm in love with the thought of all the old sets from Nick Warren or WOW (either way) getting dug up and reading opinions on them...
...I don't see that happening with a techno dj like Hawtin, not on MS, and I really like Hawtin as well...
It was fun while it lasted...Comment

Because they're Way Out West first of all and there would be more material to post, since they're both very jealous of their live sets, still very rare.╔══╗............/\_¸_/\

Re: Recommendation: Sub-forum for Nick Warren
Furthermore, I can definitely say without a doubt that WOW collectively over the last 18 years have done more for progressive house than Hernan Cattaneo. Richie Hawtin has been on the techno and DJ'ing methodologies forefront but this site hasn't traditionally been one that focuses on techno, unless I'm mistaken.
The web design itself is rather antiquated but I am not responsible for that. However, sets from November 2009 are not even a month old.Comment
