    Perfect mix CD opening tracks

Recently dug out Deep Dish's Renaissance Ibiza Mix CD for a long overdue re-listen. I used to absolutely hammer this in 2000/1. Got me thinking about perfect opening tracks for CD Mixes as that Atjazz remix of Brooks - Pink Cigarettes that kicks off CD1 just does it for me.

I think that and The Logic Box - Liquid on Lee Burridge's 24:7 comp would have to be the 2 I'd pick. In fact that Burridge comp is a perfect double whammy as the closing track Rabbit In The Moon's Deeper is just magnificient.

Both Brooks and The Logic Box tracks took me years to track down before finding them through Hard To Find Records and Discogs respectively but were worth the effort. RITM is too rare & expensive sadly - but rightly so!

I'm sure there are lots of good ones on the GU comps. The only one that springs immediately to mind though is BT - Fibonnacci Sequence on GU13 CD2. That version was all we had until it got a limited release - and the released version (IMO) isn't as good as the early version Sasha had. More of an Orbital vibe to the breakdown on this version and sounds stronger for it. Don't know why BT removed it from the final edit.

Anyone else have any perfect openings?

Deep Dish used to have perfect opening tunes. The Ibiza-mix has the best but Yoshiesque I also starts pretty damn perfect with Jark Prongo Wave whatsthenumbercantremember.

It was an amazing night. Really good send off for Private Function. They had more people on guestlist than club capacity .

Pappa was just relentless. He is so good!! Could actually have used a bit of ebb and flow. I'm feeling decidedly broken today.
