I suppose the problem is once you start to believe you have been lied to you stop believing anything you are told is the truth.

      So true Chunky..

      Toasty, Paranoia??

      Your banks just robbed you
Obama bombs yemen and we are surprised of an attack??
      Iran is on the horizon

Ya call me paranoid. The US needs to chill out and get their shit in order. If Iran gets bombed their will be a draft. Guarantee it. I'm moving way East if that happens. I have the place picked out and everything

Also don't you find it weird that he didn't have a passport and was allowed on the plane??

That a sharp dressed man got him on the plane lying that he was a somali refugee when he was a rich Nigerian kid??

What did he use again as a bomb? A firecracker? Complex bomb material? How did he get the complex bomb material? How did he get the complex bomb material on the plane?

Also it is funny that the bomber decided to bomb a Detroit airplane. Just so happens that Detroit has 50% unemployment. They would be good candidates to join the military wouldn't they??

Watching the news I see that Afghanistan is so 2009. Yemen is the new war zone for 2010.

As for conspiracy theories, possibly the CIA did put that guy on that plane and gave him a weak bomb through fake Al-Qaeda agents to scare us all into a larger war with Yemen. It sounds like something from Fox's 24. Rather convenient that Obama had missile strikes recently too.

How in hell are you allowed onto an aircraft without a passport?

This doesn't make any sense at all.

And how is it, that this very same person was allowed to board the plain with an explosive device stiched inside his undies?

Surley a passenger with no passport/paper work should warrant a proper search.

And to top it off the explosive device "failed". Seriously

"Surprise, surprise", now you have calls for pre - emptive attacks against Yemen by asshats like Lieberman and I'm sure the other cowards will follow suit.

This story has been told before and imo, this "attempt" at blowing up an aircraft was a setup.
“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

As a frequent air traveler, I can tell you that in the USA it has always been possible to board a domestic flight without a photo ID. I know this to be true from my personal experience about 1 year ago, where I accidentally left my wallet at home before heading to the airport.

I did not realize my wallet was missing until I got to the security line. I asked the TSA what I should do. They said I could go through security without the ID, but that I would be automatically flagged for extra inspection. This meant I would get pulled aside for a full inspection of my carry-on bag by hand and a frisk search of my body.

I did not go through security that day because I would have needed my wallet for my trip. (no money or credit cards = not good) But the point is, the TSA told me I was allowed to board my plane without a photo ID.

Keep in mind, this was for a domestic flight. I'm sure that internationally the situation would have been different.

According to the TSA, this is exactly what happens when there is no photo ID. You are automatically flagged for extra security measures.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I've been overseas a few times and a passport is a must have. If not then the required documents/paper work is needed.

Mind you, the mention of attacker having no passport was by a passenger named Kurt Haskell.

Google him and see what he has to say.

These training camps don't seem to be 2 effective. 2 bungled attempts since 9/11 which have been on both occasions 1 single person. I recon you have a bigger problem with kids in the US shooting up school and pigeons bringing down planes than you have of terrorism.

Yes, fortunately the terrorist, err, suspect wasn't able to blow himself up. Two things I haven't heard too much of is that the attack was in response to Obama's bombings and two of the planners were ex-Gitmo commanders.

Obama dodged a bullet on this one. He needs to make some changes starting with that Homeland Security secretary before the terrorists actually succeed again.

One of the four leaders allegedly behind the al Qaeda plot to blow up a Northwest Airlines passenger jet over Detroit was released by the U.S. from the Guantanamo prison in November 2007, according to American officials and Department of Defense documents. Al Qaeda claimed responsibility for the Northwest bombing in a Monday statement that vowed more attacks on Americans.

well lets see, we are at war with a enemy that cant sneak 1 guy in with the millions of illegals that stream thru our southern border, nor can they sneak in a pound of anthrax with the tons of coke comming thru our border.

these masterminds could even buy dynomite right here in the states with a fake id, and do some vests in malls type stuff.

but they are to dumb for that, we have foiled them at every turn, because even though they were smarter in the 8 years before 9-11, we are super smart now, and have blocked their every move!

we cant stop illegals or drugs, but we nail those stinking terrorists everytime!!!!
