I recently watched this documentary from the History Channel, and it is probably the most fascinating thing I have seen in a while. It blew my mind as to how in detail the video got. The title is Ancient Aliens and is pretty self-explanatory. There are a large group of scientists and theorists out there that believe that "God" might actually be aliens that descended down from the heavens thousands of years ago.
This idea has inspired countless films and Sci-fi authors, and these people back up their claim with legitimate evidence from religious scripture, sculptures, paintings, drawings, rock formations, although it can be interpreted in so many different ways. Some of the regions they talk about are the Ancient Egyptian pyramids, Mayan pyramids, Easter Island, Stone Henge, and other unexplainable archaeological phenomena.
Anyways, it's worth watching over a bag of popcorn, as it's very very entertaining. I don't actually buy their theory but it's definitely something that makes you go hmmmmm.
