Noice! - Episode 95 NOICE! Presents P toile's Perfect Circle with Special Guest: Patrick Bateman (Tic Tac Toe, Connect Four / Copenhagen, DK)

we are proud to present the 4th installment of the ever popular "Perfect Circle" podcast hosted by Berlin's P toile. today we welcome Tic Tac Toe // Connect Four Label Honcho .... Patrick Bateman...enjoy and stay NOICE!Yeah, we know, you might have given more notice to the blood and gore of the character fromthe Bret Easton Ellis novel, but one thing?s for sure: That Patrick Bateman knew how to partyand it?s the same with this one.Already a household name when the Danish club scene exploded in the late nineties, KennethBroxgaard aka. DJ Patrick Bateman has been a key party player for almost two decades. He?s aprime son of a Danish techno/house scene that just keeps on getting better and better and heknows all the artistic effects down to the last beat, from vicious minimalism over luscious deeptech-house.He started spinning records in the early nineties with the early boy love for Inner City, Italianhouse and rave music and in the years that followed Patrick Bateman has covered hugeamounts of space in an ever curious exploration of electronic party music.Musically, Detroit techno and Chicago house made a huge impact on Patrick Bateman in 95and so did the looping mono techno from Sweden and the UK a few years later. But minimaltechno and house have always taken up major parts of Bateman?s all-embracing recordshelves. Since 99/00, he has been spinning minimal techno and house exclusively Germanstyle and with the odd twist of deep house and old school classics thrown in for good measure. The last 7-8 years, Patrick Bateman has really made his mark. Touring everywhere in Denmarkand many venues in Europe, Bateman?s remarkably energetic, spot free sets have presentedthe minimal techno/house vibe to an audience that?s moved from curious to responsive toexhilarated. In 2004, Bateman started the label Tic Tac Toe Records. The label is focusing on minimalhouse and techno, primarily from all the Danish talents, but also with international acts. Thefirst 25 releases are already out, and have been played and charted by all the big DJ?s and thename ?Tic Tac Toe? has been getting a lot of attention internationally. In Denmark it has led toan award as best label in 2007 and a nomination for best label in 2008. In 2007 Connect Foursaw the light. This is the sister label to TTT focusing on deeper sounds.Bateman has also started producing music, and he is follows his DJ trademark very closelyand you can be sure you will hear a lot more from him during the coming years on this fronttoo. In 2008 Bateman won the award as ?best upfront DJ of the year? at Danish DJ Awards, showingthat he is still on forefront of things even after 14-15 years of DJ?ing. The guy may not be guzzling blood like his alter ego, but he?s a superb DJ.Tracklist:1.
