And as far as my seemingly defensive posture... yes, that's quite possible. It's extremely tiring hearing/reading every negative thing people have to say about someone like Deadmau5. There always seems to be a need for a target for an audience to focus their angst on, and it gets oh-so-boring. I'm not saying I've never trash-talked an artist, because there are plenty of music 'artists' that I loathe on whatever level(s); I'm just choosing not to because I realize it does absolutely no good. It only begets more negativity. Oh, and by that I do apologize for the Oakenfold comment. That was lame of me.

Maybe if we're calling for a lynch mob or wish some misfortune on him, I can understand your and other contrary reactions in this thread. But none of us are being malicious and wishing harm on him, we're talking about some guy flying through the air with a mouse head for crying out loud.

If he wasn't deadmau5, I'd think he's an idiot and a turd. If I saw a random riding a bike, blasting Superman, wearing that mouse head I'd still think he's an idiot.

Maybe you've never ever laughed at anyone in your life and choose not to trask talk celebrities or artistes because it allows you the moral high ground in situations like this. Why should I give a fuck about your abstinence so you can adhere to some code of conduct? Be a boy scout in the privacy of your life, not on the world wide web.

Like him or not this guy puts on a hell of a show. He might be the first in this business to enter the stage flying. It doesn't take a genius to figure out he packs staduims and arenas wherever he plays so he must be doing something right. Funny thing is whoever your favorite dj might be a camee guarantee you they play his productions.

music junkie? again you didnt get what i said. i didnt say im fucking better than anyone else man, get over it.. i said i like going to gigs for the music than for shows like the one on the video. there are people who go to gigs just for shows like that and choose one over the other one depending on the visual bit. im not one of them. i like music and i prefer staying in a bedroom with someone playing nice dark beats rather going to a club with super fancy visuals but less interesting music! capisci?

I think people start these hate threads because they are trying to stroke their own ego by thinking that their own taste and conduct is somehow far more superior than others. How anyone can say they are more into music than anyone else is beyond me. Particularly when they have never even met this person. Its like people need some sort of affirmation from others that their taste is superior.
