You can repair it without going to Apple. My iPod screen got fuxored and I had it repaired for $100 IIRC. Maybe look around NZ, if not, this is where I sent mine to in Sydney.

2 years was a pretty good run - seriously, they are kickass - ive worked with phones for nearly 10 years and the iphone kicks the shit out of anythig else on the market...

i have the 3G and my 2 yr thing ended this past year... 3GS is crap... no real reason to upgrade to it.... hopefully they come up with a better update this year.
Yeah I read reports of multi-processor upgrade and this latest Korean rumour corroborates that.
