Danny Howells review
Well this was one of our One night Only events which is actually a rip off of Danny's Dig Deeper.
Supposed to be one Dj only but this time we actually got a warmup from Rollin Connection because Danny missed his flight. Who were really good seeing they had 1/2 notice. But Danny requested them, so they weren't going to refuse
Supposed to start at 5, I got there at 5.30 . First thought was we should not have to look at clubs in daylight. They look so much better in the dark! Not a lot of people , as with Hernan's ONO we had ticketing issues , and ticket sales only announced less than three weeks ago . This promoter needs to get their act together. Was just as well that Danny was late because the sound system wasn't set up properly , really basic things like the speakers facing the wrong way. Fortunately we had Jamie Stevens to fix it up for us
Danny arrived at 6.40, straight off the plane , poor bugger had been criss crossing Australia playing for the last 10 days and Australia is a lot bigger than most people think. But I was sitting with my back to the Dj booth and I knew the instant he started playing, just this beautiful deep music full of groove washing over me. So good. !! From what I've read the Dig Deeper shows are Danny doing his thing, and I really love his thing. !! He didn't stray far from the deep and groovy all night. We wouldn't have had any other way. !! The faithful were all on the dance floor all night with grins a plastic surgeon couldn't remove. Every other time I've seen him, he has clowned around quite a bit, he did a little, but mostly he was just seriously into the music. I like him better this way. He seemed to be drinking water most of the night as well. My god, the music, it was just wonderful all night. !! Very little I actually recognised . The one track I took the trouble to find out was this ,

Which sounded amazing on the Jamie Stevens configured sound system He played this near the end of his set. We really didn't want him to stop , everyone on the dancefloor just stood there, we wouldn't leave . Even Anthony Pappa was calling for "just one more" Really didn't want it to stop. Definitely the best set I have heard from him. !!
