Hernan Cattaneo Twitter account - fake ?

Hey everyone,

maybe you have noticed but someone, named as "DJ Cattaneo" joined twitter few days ago, acting like Hernan and recieving welcomes from other established djs on twitter like Nick Warren or Dave Seaman. After couple of days this account has been suspended ("Sorry, the profile you were trying to view has been suspended due to strange activity.").

Any idea what has happened ? Was it really Hernan or just plain stupid hoax trying to fool people (and what would it be good for anyway?) ?

wasn't Hernan. I've emailed him asking if he's setup a twitter account, he said no, so I've reported @DJCattaneo for impersonation (the guy was even posting wrong event dates!)

The result is already known.. the guy got the account deleted.

Twitter policies regarding impersonation says that can be done as a parody, but the user has to make clear it is a fake account. This guy tried to contact people as if he were Hernan. Not cool.

oh oke, understood. I just don't get why would people do fake impersonations if they get caught within few days.

Could be worse someone actually got some gigs in Ireland posing as Sasha many years ago

The Facebook personal account seems fake. The Soundcloud account seems pretty legit, unless it's some crazed fan with every one of his sets.
