    Illustrator issue

    hey mates im looking for a solution sorry for post it here but the faster the better...

    so i need to send a new catalog to the printing site but with the new rings add to it, i got this problem, the past ring have a blue line around it for something called UV or something like that, so how do i put that blue line? anyone know im leaving here a image so you can understand me better...

    its for the final printing the rings looks bright kinda like plastify, got me?

    thanks in advanced.....

    also all those lines say compund path...if that helps..

    Don't really understand what you're asking. Was that an image traced to vector? Do you have a stroke around that image?

    What version are you using? CS3 or 4?

    Illustrator is better for creating vector art, for catalogs I've always used InDesign. You've got more control and better management over large printing projects.

    Music is the answer, to your problems. Keep on movin', till you solve them.

      Yeah, I'm not to sure what you're asking as well. One of the blue lines looks like a guide.

      If you're looking to just add a blue line around an object, just give it a stroke with no fill.

        I think that what you are trying to do is that this line is a stroke for an embellishment with a UV coating and you need to save it as a separate layer or an alpha channel, talk to your printer too

          thats right, all those blue gray lines around the ring are on a separete layer/group for putting some uv coating so in the final printing it looks kinda like bright or plastic....
