Metallica tonight

Metallica is playing tonight here in Buenos Aires, River Plate stadium, and Iīll be there (shit, itīs too hot here, 34 degree Celsius).
Iīm not a fan of metal music, but I love Metallica... maybe because I listen to them since 1990. Iīve seen them every time they played here, and itīs been 11 years since last one. I read about the death magnetic tour... the song list is very heavy. Iīve heard they are in a very good moment, that the show is amazing and energic, with an introduction full of lasers and explotions. Anybody here went to a show of this tour? what can you tell? hope I have a great night, Itīs been a long time since I donīt go to a big concert in a stadium.

I saw them three times last summer, twice indoors two days in a row in Helsinki and once in a festival-setting later in the summer.

The indoor-sets were very very tight but I felt the festival set was more "fun".

I was drunk at that though.

^ one thing that I miss here: beer in any concert, since 10 years ago...
they are playing outdoor tonight and tomorrow, and indoors in saturday, but in other city.

anyways metallica doesn't allow alcohol to be sold while they're playing ... or that was only here in Miami ?

Must've been only in Miami, that shit would never fly in Finland.

The bars in the indoor shows I attended were in the corridors of the arena so you couldn't really drink AND attend the concert but the festival had a huge bar in a hill facing the stage so I had a clear view over the pit and a beer in my hand all the time.

Saw them here in Toronto and it was a pretty good concert. They played a lot of the new stuff but that was too be expected. From their old stuff they played one, nothing else matters, enter sandman and master of puppets (definitely the highlight of the night).
The energy was good but can someone tell me what the deal was with those black balls at the end?? Kinda killed the mood for me.

All in all it was money well spent, and booze was permitted.

They used the outdoor stage. No laser show, no tomb-shaped lights, no balls at the end.
The concert was very good, beautiful sound, the performance was excellent, the songlist was very heavy (intro, creeping death, for whom the bells toll, wherever I may roam, harvester of sorrow...), and they played some tracks of their latest album. They sounded and played much better than the other visits, many years ago. If I have to describe the night I could say:
- the bass drum dismembered my chest and saturated my cochlea.
