Damning verdict on doctor who linked MMR and autism
Re: Damning verdict on doctor who linked MMR and autism
its a typical sigh because your points are irrelevant. its pretty much the last and definitive study that the two items listed are in no way related to autism, everything else is just unrelated noise.
also debate? the dude has already had his license revoked by his peers, no sense in giving his nonsense more air time.

thimerosal and other adjuvents.
You know what is funny is that I should be the one who should be getting sick of taking you to school.. You should be saying "damn it he did it again to me"
Hint - Watch the relationship between thimerosal plus more vaccines and the rise of autism,. It went from 1 case in every 2500 to 1 in every 160.
Re: Damning verdict on doctor who linked MMR and autism
Since ANOTHER study from ANOTHER group of people who actually know science, study science, practice the scientific method just published ANOTHER report of evidence that this just isn't true that is the end of the debate.
Its funny even in the articles listed above it states that there isn't a huge uproar from the anti vaccine contingent about this, because they are finally coming to the realization that they are flat out wrong.
It is fun to beat the point to death in this thread though.

From the article:
Perhaps it is the fall of Andy Wakefield that has led to an apparent resurgence of the concept that mercury in TCVs somehow causes autism, after having faded into the background after the CDC and AAP recommended that thimerosal be removed from all childhood vaccines in 1999 and the last TCV having expired towards the end of 2001. After all, if the hypothesis that TCVs cause autism had been correct, we should have expected to see a marked decrease in the incidence of autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) within about 5 years of 2002, given that the vast majority of cases of ASDs are diagnosed between the ages of 2 and 5. We have not, and, even though its adherents have kept moving the goalposts back regarding the date that we should start to see a leveling off and drop in the incidence of ASDs, starting with 2005, then 2007, and now, apparently, 2011 (which is only less than four months away, by the way), even Jenny McCarthy’s anti-vaccine organization originally founded by J.B. Handley and his wife, namely Generation Rescue, began demphasizing mercury in 2007, after having stated flatly on its website that autism is a “misdiagnosis for mercury poisoning” for so long. Since then, “too many, too soon” has been the favored propaganda talking point.

Re: Damning verdict on doctor who linked MMR and autism
Look I get both sides of this debate and I'm not gonna say whats right or wrong. I can only go off my own personal experience and @ 1 year old my son hit all his milestones & then some. after he got his vaccines came a rash, fever, and 4 days later a different child. diagnosed with severe autism 6 months later. Obviously the vaccines save lives but also have a component in altering many others. People need to do their homework and make there own decision. I got into a heated exchange with my kid's dr. when she was trying to force the shots on my daughter (11 months younger than my son), she finally got the rest of hers @ 3years old. BTW after years of therapy and special schools they say my son should show no signs of autism in a year or two. But I wouldn't wish what my son and family have endured on anyone.
