HARRY AVERS presents
Noice! - Episode 100 Rab Clark & Mick Macneil (Wired, Edinburgh)
Wow.... our 100th podcast. It is only fitting that we present our 100th podcast today with the spirit of what the NOICE! podcast was founded upon... to provide an outlet for up and coming artists and DJ's from around the world. Here then, is another great mix by a Scottish duo in our ongoing series showcasing some of that countries best young Talent. NOICE! is proud to present Rab Clark & Mick Macneil. about the artists:Rab Clark and Mick Macneil?s wires first crossed at a house party in the summer of 2004; a mutual friend?s introduction sparked the realisation that they shared a passion for electronic music and a friendship and creative partnership was born. With their decks in tow, the boys began to play at house parties most weekends and after three years of becoming reputable and firm favourites behind the decks, their own club night became inevitable?.. As such, Wired?s wheel first started to gather momentum on Boxing Day 2007, when Rab and Mick held their first in a series of intimate, organised parties. Filling the capacity of their venues time after time led to the boys being approached by a larger club with a capacity of 1500, to host parties and showcase a range of local yet roaring, upcoming DJ talent from both Scotland and Ireland. Wired secured headliners such as Space resident, Smokin Jo and, understandably, got noticed in the process.Their rolling recognition has since seen them spin in venues at the forefront of the electronic music scene, from Dublin to Ibiza, in addition to cementing regular slots at Musika, one of the UK?s biggest club nights. With some of the biggest names in the industry having now had support from Wired over the past two years: Dubfire, M.A.N.D.Y, Luciano, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz and James Zabelia to name but a few, it?s future certainly looks bright. Now plugged firmly into the Edinburgh club circuit, the boys? credibility keeps on growing. Wired continues to insulate a current of electronic beats in the talent they exhibit, whilst simultaneously connecting with an ever-glowing and growing crowd. If this vibe is anything to go by then their recent dabbles in production are sure to be the flickerings of switching something even bigger, right on?
