Production Mixing in Ableton - Help!

I've just done my first Abelton mix, and it's sounding seriously low, like it's been saved at 96kpbs or something. One of my friends who uses Ableton a bit says it's because when you warp tracks in Ableton it does something to the track that appears to redue the quality.

Anyone know what I'm on about? Even better, anyone know what can be done to avoid this and have my mixes sounding nice and crisp?

Do you have the High Quality button clicked? That is one of the early problems I had with Ableton. I don't even know why there's even one on there. But that REALLY helps your sound quality. Let me know. If you are on AIM my screen name is "Demosu" so you can get in touch a bit easier.

it's in your properties section. looks like this...in Windows.



It's under the SAMPLE RATE section of the properties. Make sure the HIGH QUALITY is clicked and yellow.

and BTW, the way some of these settings are set up are NOT my personal settings. They just popped up that way. I usually use my Mac for all my real musical making, as this computer doesn't have nearly as much processing power.
