Acquiring his first set of decks at 17, he?s been hooked and has never looked back. Early influences included DJ's Danny Howells, John Digweed, Nic Fancuilli, Layo & Bushwacka and Laurent Garnier. After a trip to the infamous after hours club DC10 in Ibiza, Ewan?s musical repertoire transformed. Huge influences for him currently include DJ's Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Dan Ghenacia, Andrew Grant, Jose De Divina, Matthias Tanzmann, Sebo K, Jamie Jones, Dyed Soundorom, Marco Carola, Ralph Lawson, Peace Division, Inland Knights, The Mountain People, labels Moon Harbour Recordings, 8bit, Oslo, Cecille Numbers, Freerange, Remote Area, 2020 Vision, Plastic City, Tsuba & Wolf & Lamb.Expect to hear in his sets a mixture of Deep House, House & Tech House. He plays music that has a groove, if there?s no groove, there?s no point!Playing alongside the likes of Jamie Jones, Reboot, Lucio Aquillina, Andy Chatterley, Cagedbaby, Fergie, Sebestian Leger and Style Of Eye to name but a few, by the time Ewan turned 20 he had played at the top venues Edinburgh had to offer and made guest appearances on the Balearic island, Ibiza. One of his highlights was being asked to play at Eden for one of the legendary workers parties. Ewan has been involved with successful night Not So Dirty which came to an end in 2008 after 3 successful years. Since deciding to end Not So Dirty, he went on to be Resident at infamous, long-running club night, Stereotype which is due to shut its doors one last time on 30th January after an amazing 7 years! He has also made appearances at nights such as Musika, KlickKlack (Newcastle), Hotbox (Glasgow), Fuse, Unlock The House, Wired and the Musika Arena @ Scottish Dance festival Fantasylands. Ewan has also been responsible for bringing cutting edge artist Jamie Jones to Edinburgh, with his night ?Offbeat? that he ran/promoted alongside fellow DJ?s Chris Graham and Jamie McKenzie. As well as spinning tunes, Ewan also has a passion for making his own music and 2009 saw four tracks released on Newcastle?s very own ?City West Records?, two of which were produced with Fellow producer and DJ, Kirk Douglas.2010 looks set to be a big year for Ewan, with a number of new releases set to come out on "City West Records" and new night "SouLoco", which he started with fellow DJ/producers & promoters Chris Graham, Kirk Douglas & Jamie McKenize.
