Picking on Sarah Palin for being a moron is almost not even any fun anymore, and then she does something like this. Hot on the heels of mocking Obama for using a teleprompter, she's caught with notes written on her hand.







Sweet fancy Moses, this woman is a simpleton. Equally shocking, though, is that Palin, who really only talks about energy and tax cuts, evidently needs to remind herself to talk about them.

I knew Toaty was gonna start this one. I don't want to defend Palin but at least she has the balls to go at without a teleprompter. What looks more stupid, notes on a hand, or bringing a teleprompter to a grade school function?

Not during the speech, but she did during the Q&A session. She looked at her hand and then spouted off a response about energy policy and lifting America's spirits.

Yes, Obama uses a teleprompter when he gives prepared remarks, as do most politicians. He's also demonstrated an ability to think on his feet and speak off the cuff, however, as the House republicans learned during that Q&A about a week ago.

My biggest thing about this is that it's just pathetic that she would think it was necessary to write those particular words down so she could remember to talk about them. I mean, she's Sarah Palin -- if she hasn't been asked there to talk about those things, what exactly has she been asked there to talk about? That's like writing the name of your client on your hand at a trial.

...and might I finally add, writing it on your hand is just amateurish. If you want to make sure you talk about something, note cards are an acceptable option. In this day and age, with cameras everywhere and bloggers dissecting every move you make, if you have to look at notes to answer a question, someone is going to notice, no matter what you're looking at -- better it be an index card or something that at least preserves a modicum of professionalism/dignity, rather than writing on the palm of your hand like a fucking 5th grader.

Palin is a snake. She has been all over the news talking about how Obama should attack Iran.. I mean is she out of her fucking mind? That is a one way ticket to $8/gal gas. Bombing Iran would make Vietnam and Iraq together look like a cake walk.

I think its just sad that this woman is seen as someone who represents the people, even if its Alaska, I think you would want someone capable of critical thinking, someone who has a constructive opinion about everything that matters, someone who has an education, someone who's able to talk to every walk of life without using diminishing terms or stereotypes, someone who speaks english and doesn't need to wink to finish her sentences....

No fan of Palin but I dont see what the big deal is. If i was gonna talk for 40 mins I would have some notes to make sure that some kind of order is kept to the arguments.
