Nightrain Music label boss Mickey Nightrain delves into the “other side” with this 4 track ep. “Walk My Spirit” delivers a monster bass line and an intelligent riff that sits over some clanking percussion. “E.V.P.” is a spooky look into the science of recording the voices of the dead which features actual samples of this phenomenon, sitting perfectly in the middle of dance floor and home listening. “A Machine Powered by The Dead” sounds exactly as the titles states; a Baltimore Club beat circulates as some wonky bass lines sit under and eerie synth. “Friendly Reminder” is a deep, proggy number with some light and airy keys that chug it along with a warm, gentle feel.
