    Re: Shutter Island

quite liked the film. I didn't think it was that shocking to be honest. I know what you mean about continuity i noticed that as well but I thought it was all to do with how the main character is perceiving things...to give clues into his own...psyche. Anyway, i felt the ending was kind of predictable. As soon as the film started...first scene on the boat I knew what was gonna be the end...still I enjoyed the ride.

Good film...better than some other Scorsese's films which I will not mention so as to keep the thread on topic.

Loved this movie... did not find it predictable in the least. Perhaps I was the only one who did not know how it was going to end??

Bit predictable tbh, even when i saw the trailer a few months ago i guessed what was up.

Still not a bad flick though.

did you identify yourself with the protagonist?

                      finally saw this.
Agree with many of the comments above.

Did you notice that many (several?) of the shots appeared to be clearly live chrs against a backdrop - aka fake and/or poor qulaity.
Was that part of the "reality" plot, or just some weird production issues again?
During the film I defo thought, poor camera work, but at the conclusion re-assessed to think it fit the characterization.
