i'm not sure I would have necessarily heard his livesets if I hadn't caught him live in Florida back in the late 90's...
and they were always so lovely too - middle and late 90's for me.........from tampa, g-ville, to tally........
he is one of the best kept underground secrets on the market IMO. but its not like he hasn't been playing the biggest venues in the world for the longest time either.......remixing for sasha, touring with sasha a few years back. several kiss FM mixes over the last decade. playing NY ( i believe twilo) in the 90's, branched out of hallucination, runs a record label (hallucination limited), etc this guy is MEGA platinum.
he might be more of a dj's dj though. and i like his sound a bit better before he moved to NYC.

I have read interviews where he says he likes staying under the radar which is really cool and I admire him for that. However, it sucks for DJ Three fans like myself because his recorded sets are extremely rare compared to a lot of DJ's of his caliber. So yes, I definitely agree that he is a DJ's DJ.
i agree, but alas, that is the nature of the beast. the first few times i saw him in the rocky mountain region (boulder then denver a year later in the early to mid 2000's) nobody was even at the show. LOLS
a few years later he was rocking the main club in denver to a packed house.

we could always pony up the money and bring him to the twin cities --
Oh, you're from the Twin Cities? That would be awesome to bring him here. I did see him a few years ago (Spring 07 maybe?) in Minneapolis at a club called Foundation and hardly anyone showed up which surprised me. Nevertheless he was playing ridiculously good tunes that night..most of which I never heard again. If I could have any DJ's record collection, it would be his.
This may sound a bit stupid, but I may have passed him up because of the name DJ Three... I usually pass up DJs with the DJ in there name.. I know it sounds stupid but I do tend to do this.
However, this set is pretty good... I'm totally lovin it... Thanks for the new toons...

He goes by the name Three now. He dropped the DJ a few years ago...just sayin'
