Currently counting down the minutes until I head out tonight. To start off the night...
6pm - Gui Boratto
8pm - Henry Saiz
Both are playing live in the courtyard at chinese laundry. Will be great to have a few g+ts in the late afternoon sun watching both of them play. Then come 10pm when henry finishes, we're walking up to tank - one of sydneys most poorly utilised venues, a great club which has seen nothing but rnb & electro house nights for the last 3-4 years. 12am - Way Out West (also playing live)
1am - John Digweed!!!!
This is the first time I'll get to see diggers play in a club. I saw him a year or two ago when he played at a festival, but it really wasn't the right setting for him. If memory serves, he played from 6-730pm, the sound was poor, and a bunch of people around me were saying things like 'who the hell is this guy?'. He's playing the same festival again this year, but I decided that it would be a sideshow or nothing for me. Thankfully the promoters finally came through for sydney!
Diggers is scheduled to play through to 4am, but as the night doesn't finish until 6am, and the promoters have left the 4-6 slot blank, I'm hoping that the crowd will inspire him to stay behind the decks. Will hopefully have some photos & video to add to the thread in the next day or two.
