does it rate the quality of the sound recording anywhere?
I hate to spend ages and tonnes of mbs up/down just to find out its a barely listenable hissy recording?

I haven't spotted any ratings, know what you mean though, ratings would be perfect.
However I've downloaded some pretty rough bootlegs of in the past (of artists I love) and enjoyed them to the fullest.
