problably not, but he might start to consider applying them in the future.

absolutely not, but he can orchestrate them better than most

i'll give a nebulous but relative correspondence/analogy for effect:

did you see Kevin Peirce fall trying to pull a new sought after trick in the Winter Olympics? you fall hard, and come back harder, but you will obtain.

some say they are pushing/progressing the sport's standards too fast, and that he would not have crashed if he hadn't tried the new trick. bullshit, in actuality, it is the right direction to aim in, and all his peers (and i'm sure him as well) agree.
