Also another point that has been forgotten is that the Taliban were going to hand over Bin Laden if there was any proof that he did it. If the US was so sure and could show proof the Taliban would have handed him over.

Agreed. They are good guys, I'd hold them to their word. Maybe the guys that agreed to that accidently killed themselves while blowing themselves and random women and children up in a Baghdad market is why this hasn't happened. DAMNIT IM GOOD!!!

Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress Tuesday that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden would never be tried in a U.S. courtroom.
Testifying before a congressional committee, the point Holder was making was less about the administration's philosophy on where terrorists should be tried and more about the practical realities. As Holder explained, either bin Laden would be killed by U.S. forces as he resisted capture or he would be killed by his own people in order to keep him from falling into U.S. hands.

i can totally agree with that, he has probably been dead for years. but any propaganda coming out with his name is not the us gov't (sorry to disappoint), it is other al quaeda members using that crap to find new martyrs for their cause.

Becuase this was back in 2001 before the Afghan invasion silly goose. He died sometime around 2004.

Also why would it be on a goverment website? The news is rarely on Gov't websites. Do you actually believe I am going to waste 30mins of my time to go on a goose hunt for you. That link is from a CBS archive.

Without evidence, Afghanistan's Taliban rulers will not hand over Osama bin Laden, Afghanistan's ambassador to Pakistan said Friday.

The rejection came in a statement by Abdul Salam Zaeef, the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan. Asked whether the Taliban would hand over bin Laden, Zaeef said, "No." But his translator said, "No, not without evidence."

He also said he had no information on bin Laden's current whereabouts.

At a news conference in Islamabad, the Taliban ambassador said he was sorry that people had died in the suicide attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon last week, but appealed to the United States not to endanger innocent people in a military retaliation.

"Our position on this is that if America has proof, we are ready for the trial of Osama bin Laden in light of the evidence."

Asked if he was ready to hand bin Laden over, he snapped, "No."

I'm not ignoring these witnesses. I pointed out in the past that I would like to see some of these peoples accounts. And how they explain certain aspects of their accounts.

I think there are some of them witnesses you would like to rule out. But then you refuse to even entertain their accounts. We have actually been through the witness accounts before. Like the news man who claimed the wings folded up

But then you choose to believe that there was only one camera on that area of the Pentagon that somehow managed to miss the plane because of the slow shutter speed. When in fact the plane passed by closer on 80 CCTV cameras in that area. If a plane had gone into the pentagon
no matter how slow the shutter speed it would have been picked up on that traffic camera that must have been half a mile from the Pentagon. But you choose to believe that The Pentagon has worse CCTV that the bike shed where I work.

I think what you really want is it all to just go away so you don't have to think about it.
