    Green Zone 2010

The new Matt Damon flick with the same director that did Bourne Supremacy.

I liked the film saw it the opening weekend. Its about the Iraq war and the non existent weapons of mass destruction...I think its on OK film but its about 6-7 years late to be considered controversial or thought provoking.

I wanted to like this much, much more, as I really enjoyed Paul Greengrass's other films - despite the reliance on shaky camera use when a fight scene breaks out. Greg Kinnear is really, really good as the oily neo-con that's trying to put a spin on the whole failed search for WMD's, and I liked Jason Isaac's as his henchman who does the dirty work.

The politics of the film drag it down, and I think you're correct - the film wallows in information that really isn't that new or provide much in the way of revelation. It's a movie where the end result is less than the parts that make it up.
