Throughout his long and distinguished journey in the world of trance and electronic music, George Acosta's name has ranked at the top among such artists as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Matt Darey. An undisputed force in representing a newly rising lifestyle and culture, George Acosta has not only helped electronic dance music rise from its underground dwelling to become the massive, worldwide experience it is today, but he has also helped shape the sound of trance in Miami and all over the world.
DJ Times voted him "Americas Best DJ" for 2007 and global AIDS awareness foundation Dance 4 Life has appointed him their US ambassador. Enriched by two decades of experience as both a DJ and a producer, George Acosta has undoubtedly taken his rightful place among the industry's elite.
Today, George finds himself continuously seeking perfection in new and different areas of his music while tearing up the charts time and time again. Sirius Satellite Radio continues to feature his long running, weekly "Lost World" show. As of late, Acosta has teamed up with Juicy Music's Robbie Rivera on a few projects including remixes of Robbie’s "Back To Zero" and Dero and Rivera's "1980", both of which climbed to the top of the Beatport charts.
On a more personal level, George has launched his own new label, Aco Music. So far on his new label he has released, "Something About You" featuring Terry B. & "True Love" featuring Fisher. George's releases have caught the attention of trance giant Armin van Buuren who featured his works three times in a row on his "State of Trance" series. Acosta was also noticed by superstar Ferry Corsten and included in his world renowned Corsten’s Countdown. With continuing successes such as these, there seems to be no stopping this still hungry veteran of the electronic music industry.
TRANZIT EVENTS:
The TRANZIT event series features Chicago's electronic music DJs Mario Florek and DNA. The creation of event series has centered around the music they love -- melodic, driving, uplifting, and floor-shaking trance.
