The aperitif ep he?! Well that's exactly what this ep is about. "The beginning" can be ... the beginning of an evening out, a dinner, a barbecue with some friends or played in a DJ set at some chique lounge bar. I'm only saying this to make sure you understand where this track will fit in. I would even play it in a late night set as the groove has a certain hypnotic feel to it. Build according the latest moods in electronic music, the rhythmical patterns sound fresh and renewing. Again several completely different elements are combined to build a majestic pleasure for the ears amusing song. There are the subtle jazzy keys which add a calming tone to it and the synth melody which adds tension and builds this tension up as it is gently floating to the surface of the track. I would dare to call this composing, modern composing. There's a lot more going on here than just putting sounds together and making sure it all fits in. Another excellent track for my radio show on http://www.zenfm.be. "Captcha" seems to be inspired by authentic african drums and dito rhythms. The way the rhythmical structure is programmed, you can hear there's a producer at work who loves his trade and takes the time to create music which will keep people's attention on it, one hand and on the other, music to be proud of. A feel of mysteriosity is on its place here with the little voice-esque high hats that pop in on a regular interval, pouring in some hypnotic drops. It makes the track sound friendly and sensual too, always a good thing for us humans." We are your friends" is a right on 4x4 track aimed at the floor of the better house clubs, a rather classic build up with stripped down organic sounds, providing us with a feel good track. Jazzy keys form the main part here and partly responsible for the positive vibe. Again, hypnotic female effect-isized voice stabs put in a certain human feel and emotion. A remarkable fact is the variation between the male and female repetitive voice, doing so the track is more vibrant and alive. "Ayahuasco"'s tight and nervous rhythm is a track to be played in an advanced build up towards peak time. The contagious groove drenches the track in a time to get loose spirit. The subtle breaks holds the tension, just to release it at the right moment. This track is perfect material to tease your crowd with. It prepares them but keeps them on a certain level, makes them ready for peak time anthems. So, a crucial track for your DJ sets if you ask me.
