I didn't see anybody shooting at them. I saw a bunch of guys walking the streets get hosed down by an Apahe.. Then I saw then hose down an ambulance with children in it.

Why what did you see? Or should I say what did the gov't tell you what you saw?

Wait I thought there was a supposedly a guy who looked like he had a gun and also that chopper took fire earlier in that area. I guess they should have waited for a guy with what looks like a gun to shoot at them to make sure it was a real gun, so just in case a small video snippet ever was seen on the internet it would appease the peanut gallery.

I didn't see that on the video. show me the video where the shooting took place. And yes you should be sure that the guy has a gun. That is the problem with occupation. This isn't a war. Thank you for confirming it.

Where was the enemy in the video? Where was Al Qaeda. Do you think those dozen guys have families. Do you think they will want revenge. Do yo uactually believe this is helping the "War on Terror?"

Is that what you do in the US if you think someone is carrying a gun shoot them in the back? I imagine quite a few people in Afghanistan & Iraq carry guns.


Was there any purpose in the chopper being there anyway? It certainly didn’t help anyone. Maybe the soldiers would be less stressed had they not spent the day flying around for no purpose. The actions of the helicopter crew remind me of the soldiers in Abu Ghraib who justified their actions by torturing prisoners because they had had some mortars fired over the prison wall earlier in the day.

Just out of interest how many of you coward callers here are actually in the military? You buy into this whole war on terror and believe in the cause. How many have joined up since 9/11? You insinuate critics are cowards because they won’t risk losing their lives in a war they don’t believe in. I recon Loco maybe, but more likely he has relatives in the military, but then I’m from a military family (and yes they are currently serving in Afghanistan) so that’s not worth much. So how many people here are actually proactive?

My father was in the military for 30 years tuff guy. He didn't go to Vietnam but did partcipate in the first Iraq War and is retired now and has been working as a contractor over in Kuwait in the middle of the desert for the last 5 years. He is no Delta Force member but goes into Iraq with seal teams that stop thru the base there in the middle of that desert shithole for whatever crazy ops they do.

I am not in the military because I know since I was a kid how much it would suck ass, and is not something I would ever be interested in, how shitty the pay is, etc. I have to say I would rather be doing what I do now in the private sector than being dictated to by my superiors. The issue I think most people have here is that you guys are calling the guys on the ground as a whole a bunch of murderers and shit and saying that they should calmly ask anyone they think is a threat to nicely identify themselves, maybe show them their papers, and then sit down and discuss their issues together. If they dont do this and they kill someone then they are murderous US thugs.

DONT blame the enlisted men on the ground making 1/3 the money we all are right now whos wife and kids back home want them back. I say blame Bush and Donnie R.

The soldier who fired that gun was a murder. And if he didn't prove that with the first rounds he fired, he certainly did when he opened fire on the van taking the injured away. Do you think it was a mercy killing?
