I just think conference regular season winners need to be rewarded somehow. I think for the smaller conferences just the tourney winner getting in takes away from the regular season. imo. I think however they choose to expand will not change that the NCAA b-ball tourney is magical and captivating.

from what I'm hearing it will be 96 teams with the top 8 in each region getting a first round bye, which is ok i guess, since a 16 has never beaten a 1 how on earth was a 24 seed going to do it? lol

I love college basketball, but I'm not in favor of the expansion at all. I mean, you let in another 32 teams, not a one of which has a realistic shot of actually winning the damn thing. How many Division 1 schools are there? I could imagine a situation where you had teams that were under .500 getting an at large bid to the tourney, or teams that have decent records but that would get absolutely clobbered by a school in one of the main conferences. Good from a "making money for the NCAA standpoint," not so great from a competitive standpoint, IMO.
