Iīve been a huge fan of Type O Negative since when "Bloody Kisses" was released, so itīs been more than 15 years. Have every album of them, and even though my musical tastes have changed greatly since then, and I donīt listen to as much metal as before, Type O are one of the few bands Iīve remained faithful to.
For example, I still play "Red Water (Christmas Mourning)" every Xmas Day, to this day, as a sort of personal tradition. And even though their songs are quite dark (yet many times also ironically dark), theyīve helped me tremendously many times when I was younger.
And what can you say about a song like "Love You To Death".
Btw, I seem to remember thesightless was also a big fan on here.
Dunno if there are any other former or current Type O Negative-fans here but the big man has passed away at the age of 48 from a heart attack.
Fuck Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative was always the best Goth band even if they were clearly influenced by Andrew Eldritch.

I've never been into that band... but it's sad to hear news of a great musician dead... with all those fuckers singing shit that still alive and kicking!
truly surprised to this this thread on here. I can honestly say that 3 people had influenced me back in the late eighties to pick up playing the bass and he was one of them. From Carnivore to Type O and hanging out with him numurous times through the years, he was one of the nicest people that I had come across in the music scene.
