I was thinking the same thing. If you wouldn't eventually want your track featured on a John Digweed commercially released cd, why the fuck send it to him in the first place?

I think it's not that they have anything against getting on a Digweed-mix comp, it's more likely that since it's Digweed they ask way more money then from someone else shooting themselves in the foot in the process.

Well we don't really know the deal with these tracks for Vagabond. Maybe Digweed wants to feature them for free while the labels reckon they should be paid since they run a business. I'm assuming licensing tracks is a standard fee and doesn't vary depending on which DJ wants to feature them.

That reminds me of this story from Singapore's ZoukOut a couple of years back when Digweed was World No.1 ...
Kosheen's lead singer was prancing around drunk on stage while Digweed was spinning, causing the decks to skip. So Digweed's manager supposedly rocked up, shouted 'Show some fucking respect!' and got her taken off stage
