Not sure how they sound live. Chicago friend said he saw them and they put on a dope show.

Was just thinking that. This sounds like something that would be on Rob Da Banks afterhours.
It doesn't suck, I'm kinda chillin to this, and there's some really cool shit going on with thier music.
I think my reaction to this is very similar to how i first reacted to Airdrawndagger.

Yeah I agree as well, the tunes are pretty good actually, I dig it. Just don't see how this fits in with Sasha and Hawtin... I'd expect something a bit different considering the rich history of this show.Comment

I figure 1) they wanted to showcase new talent (the main reason for the show itself), 2) it would have been difficult to choose from the veterans (oakey, sasha, cox, etc..), and 3) maybe they thought 4 straight hours of house and techno required a decent warm-up act that could set the crowd on the right pace. Since the first act would be the 500th act, that kinda narrowed it down. I figure since Aeroplane is a 2-part act, that seemed more appealing, too.
All this aside, tong did say they talked to all the djs who did an e-mix and got their top suggestions and he said earlier today that it was overwhelmingtly in support of Aeroplane. I'm not sure if Tong gave the DJ's a shortlist of acts/djs to pick from, but I'm betting that's the case.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

Aeroplane are awesome. I think it's also a reflection of how this sort of sound has become so big in uk clubs. Fair play to R1. Great choice. They're wicked so far. (45 mins in).Comment
