not sure what to do with my old burned cds & mp3s

Roughly 800 mp3 & audio cds (mostly edm from 1998 - 2005, some newer edm too, some rap/rock, maybe a little porn )

My wife and I are moving to our first house next weekend and I can't bring these with me. Frankly I really don't have a need for them anymore as all of my music is on hard drives now. However, I've put so much effort into this collection, I'd feel bad just throwing them away. I don't feel right selling them and I don't think I have any local friends that would want them. I know someone with a love for edm would love to dig through these. There is a shit ton of Kiss and Proton shows in there, I used to collect those religiously.

What the hell do I do with them?

i've got 500gb of music on HD aswell!

thats 4800 hours! there is no way i'll ever listen to it all again!

i've begun systematically deleteing what i'm cant remember! otherwise its just dead data.

its crazy what you collect and then forget about!

Iīll tell you something thatīs true:
when a cd-r itīs recorded, it has a 5-6 years life. After that period of time, the silvered film starts to separate from the plastic disc. You canīt see it, itīs almost microscopic, but the lasers lenses can sense this, and the music decoded has lots of clicks and noisy sounding. This is caused by a fungus. Best quality cds can last up to 10 years, but not the cheaper ones. I have loads of recorded cds, but when I listen to the olders, they sound like shit with all those clicks and I throw them away. Even if you keep them, they will be garbage in the future. good luck!

You should probably spend a rainy day, grab some patience and try to classify the ones you have a copy on hdd, and the ones u dont.
Then choose, keep (ask your wife first ) or rip.. or none

We watched that show the other night. Those people really piss me off, they are just lazy and selfish. It's not a fucking disease. I've got a remedy for each one of the people and the houses that are on that show. Send the "diseased" person on a really nice vacation, and clean that shit out while they are gone. Bam (like Emeril) it's done.
