    Back to the basics

Its been a while since my father and I (lotta years) kinda lost communication, or matters of common insterest, or things to share, you name it.
A couple of month ago, we were together in one of my trips to La Plata (my born city, about 80Km from Buenos Aires, where he lives now) to visit him. We saw on TV some add about Bismarck (huge German ship from WWII), the ship comes in tons (and I mean tons) of wooden pieces, he loves wood and I love dioramas. So we bought it, and we're into it and I want it to share with you.
Here are some pics. I think the ship as you'll see it it's about %10 of it total assembly.

nice! it looks good, and very well constructed, smooth and perfect in every detail.
Best thing is that you share it with your father, congrats!

        Re:

That takes some serious patience! Perhaps I'll build one too, set it on fire, & throw it at my father.

You should try it. It's an amazing experience, you just need some room, patience, and appropriate tools (not necessary a lot or expensive)
If you decide doing it, let me know and dont forget taking some pics

That's really cool! Seems very rewarding, both the actual building and building it with your father.
