Well I think there is a significant difference now since we are in war times than there was with past presidents who did visit other nations, but did not have to deal with conflicts like this. Bush went to war, and if he expects the people to rally behind him and if he wants to get the morale of the troops going he needs to show he cares and go visit the troops himself, whether it be in Kuwait or Iraq, whatever. Once is nothing compared to how many other times Tony Blair has visited.
