It tends to vary from state to state, IMO, but from when I lived in California I would agree that it is more tolerant.

the northwest has very unique atmosphere to it. unfortunately the rest of the US does not have nearly as many friendly people. enjoy your time tho

i was at the seminar about quantum physics here and i met people from all over the country and they were all extremely nice to me, without exceptions so... but i agree theres good and bad people everywhere you go, i think its who you attract into your life mostly

Glad you are having a good time. You should enjoy San Diego also, people are really nice there. I hope you'll have fun here in Los Angeles... some people and some places around here are outright dodgy!!!! We do have nice weather though.

about the weather - i was really lucky here, since i got here there was half an hour of rain and the rest was pretty much sunny
