Noice! - Episode 134 Back and Forth With "Cosmic Cowboys"

As is always the case… NOICE! Endeavors to bring you artists that are breaking new barriers in Electronica. With Mathias Schaffhauser’s “Here There and Every Ware”, and P. Toile’s, “Perfect Circle”, NOICE! has become the host of several great podcast series. Now, please welcome the third monthly series to join our beloved monthly podcasts. NOICE! is proud to present The Venetian Production duo “The Cosmic Cowboys” with “Back and Forth”. enjoy "Cosmic Cowboys" is a project born from the different styles of two young venetian producers: Nicola Sansoni aka Randomatique and Kaled Jabari aka Kaledj. Big friends since they were 10 years old, they got really soon into electronic music, influenced by artists as Ian Pooley, King Unique, Francois K, Chicken Lips, Santos, Frankie Knucles, Junior Jack and Kid Creme. Everything started when they bought an old pair of technics 1200 and lot of old and new vinyls, playing them several hours a day and experimenting composition, creating a huge archive of loops and melodies. After some years playing and creating music together, in 2003 Nico moved to Frankfurt a.M. and also they're musical tastes took different directions. Nico discovered the minimal-techno sound, listening artists as Someone Else, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Akufen and Pantytec while Kaled was getting into chill-out and lounge music and this brought him to create one of the biggest chill-out archive ever seen. In 2007, after 2 years as solo djs/producers, they made a track together to experiment a common sound, a mix of club groove with a deep and housy touch, starting again their collaboration and taking the name of "Cosmic Cowboys", thinking about this sound as "the romantic side of techno". Very emotional also in their djset they try always to find a good mixture between groove and melodies with the target of creating soundscapes breathetaking but never forgetting what the dancefloor was made for. They're first 12", the "Pier39 Ep" realized together with Apologist (Wave Music) got the support from international names as Brendon Moeller, Fish go Deep, James Talk, Hernan Cattaneo and Francois K, appearing also on the compilation from the famous venetian club "Il Muretto" selected and mixed by Alex Neri (Tenax). Released in december 2008 their EP on the prestigious german label Ostwind Records with "Rent a Starship" including Re-UP rmx, that has been played and charted by artists as Solomun, Hosh, Glimpse, Reynold, The Timewriter, Dubfire, Plastic FM, Dubnitzky and Lars Wikinger, being reviewed also on Deejay Magazine as one of the best records of 2008. For 2009 in their release plan there are lot of tracks coming out on famous labels as Trenton, Musik Gewinnt Freunde, Ostwind, Tanzbar and Dilek toghether with works for the new label they founded with their friends Re-UP (Upon You, Microfibres). This project named Kina Music that started in November 2008 is giving them the chance to collaborate with international artists and friends as Nicolas Duvoisin (SiteHolder), MaStaFaktor (Mina Rec), Alex Tsiridis (Trapez), Marcus Vector (Toys for Boys), Rio Padice (Mosaiko), Nhar (Mobilee), Marc Poppcke (Diynamic), Ed Davenport (Liebe*Detail), Paulo Olarte (Diynamic), Drei Farben House (Brut!), Varoslav (Supplement Facts) and is getting the attention of music lovers and djs from all aver the world.
