For Discoteca's 24th release, Luke Fair picks up where he left off with 'Goldfish' with the blissful 'Red Snapper'. In typical Fair style, it's a summery, string-laden track that is feel-good house at it's best.
Hungarian duo Budai & Vic were responsible for one of the best received releases to date on the label, and here they turn in two different interpretations of the track that look like being no exception. The first of the two has a more main room sound: driving percussion and a purposeful groove, with the addition of a vocal, while the second highlights just how versatile the two are: a slightly more stripped down, midtempo techy affair that is tailor-made for deeper floors.
Fresh from releases on 2020 Vision and Dig Deeper, Northern Irish newcomer Saalim showcases why his stock is steadily rising. His remix is an atmospheric, early set house cut with jazzy overtones that has already caused a bit of a buzz on promo.
To make up the package, Vadim Yershov and balErik turn in the first of a number of telling contributions to the label with their interpretation: a beefed-up, slightly more uptempo version with an ever so slight nod to 'French Kiss'.
