I wasn't a fan of either club to be honest, so I won't loose any sleep. All those purists who just like "small intimate clubs" will be happy though.

Fabric is up for sale. Offers have to be in by Tuesday. Maybe Darren Hughes or James Barton will by it

The unfortunate circumstances where the fact that everyone got pissed off with getting to and from there so the stopped going. Inless someone buys it it won't be opening again.

Hopefully it's just the club and not the label, but without the club, where will the influence come from for the cds? Sad...

It's damn sad that people will let a little bit of extra driving get in their way of a great night at a fantastic club. Though I doubt that's the REAL reason. It's all based in rumors until the real truth comes out. And then it's probably still not going to be the REAL truth.

It's not about the driving, because if you responsible you probably wouldn't be driving home. I have stopped going to one of my favourite local nights because they moved and I simply can't afford the cab trip home. I can catch public transport there.

Last time I went there the cab back cost nearly £60 which doubled the cost of the whole night. It would of cost me about £4 to get the underground both ways.

When I went there for Dave Seaman the underground wasn't working so we had to get a cab to the venue from central London. When we flaged a cab down the cabe said Fuck Off I'm not driving al the way out there. The cab we got cost us £40

if you paid that much for a cab ride when you could have just taken the train is beyond me. i don't like cabs, especially when public transport is so easy in huge cities like London, NY etc.

I think what Chunky was saying was that the trains weren't running so he was forced to take a cab that time. No-one in their right mind takes a cab in London if it can be avoided.
For £60 you can hire a car for the weekend or stay in a hotel. That's how daft it is.

Actually the cab fare home from the venue I mention would be about double what I would spend on the night Definitely knocks it out for me. Shame, I like supporting local nights.
