Not wanting to piss on anybodies bonfire but I'm not getting anything from this.
Am I missing something here or I just growing tired of music that offers nothing more than a rhythm section with a synth layered over the top? As a Reason producer (Very amateur) I feel as though I could write a track like this during my dinner hour at work. Maybe you should tell me I'm old and passed it and I will shut my mouth!Comment

Seriously though, I do feel as though some music is beginning to pass me by. I still love listening to electronic music but I get more and more picky about what it should sound like. I think I should just come to terms with the fact that plod prog does not do it for me anymore and move on.Comment

I'll take the plod over mash-up/top40 anyfreakinday of the week.
The lack of wire hangers and disregard for birth control 20ish years ago is becoming apparent.

Seriously I find this particular track just a tad ploddy but overall I really like it !! There is a fair bit of this sound around , but it's a sound I like . And all things will pass.

having an opinion shouldn't piss anyone off mate, as long as it's put forward with respect and a valid point. IMO, it's not age it's just taste..I'm the same age as you and there is lots of good and bad music coming out right now, there is just so much music, getting through the crap to find the good stuff is a more tedious task (not saying this is crap, I've not listened yet as it's blocked at work)
We're a breed of musical snobs to begin with, we like what we like, nothing wrong with that

I was just saying that even though the track seems simplistic, that isnīt necessarily a bad thing, for me.
For example, lots of techno is basically the same loop going on and on with only slight variations throughout, but if itīs a good loop, it could go on for 10 minutes for all I care. Or look at blues music. Itīs all basically the same thing, itīs the feeling behind and it and which the artist shows that makes it shine.

Mix into this from 2000000 Suns, and I think it's a solid track with a good crowd response.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

I must agree with MJ on this, as a track by itself, it really doesn't offer much other than a plodding kick and some synths layered on top with some builds to add a bit of atmosphere.. having said that, I can deffo hear it dropped in the middle of a set on a nice system and it would probably sound pretty good at the right time of the night/morningComment
