Massive weekend ahead....

This weekend should be good for clubbing in Dubai, we got Carl Craig and Groove Armada on Thursday then Lee Burridge on Friday
I am really looking forward to see both Groove & Lee as it's been years since i sow Groove Armada and i never had the pleasure of checking Lee live.

I know Lisa & myself will be doing Groove & Lee, however Funkykaram will go check Carl...so good MS representation all around....

I would love to report back, but since the family is in the UK I have the freedom to get drunk and this is the plan

Went to see Groove Armada last nite @ Chi, both of them showed up for a DJ set, but their set was average at best IMO, the place was rammed which did not help to enjoy the night took me 30 min to get to the bar and get a drink.

Chilled out @ the beach and a good steak and feeling normal again
Off to see Lee Burridge in couple of hours should be good

When you go out 2 night in row, you realize that you are not as young as you used to be back in the day going out on Friday and coming home Sunday night !!
back to the subject, Lee absolutely KILLED it, it was my first time to catch him live and the guy is amazing, really talented DJ playing this sexy but dark music, the place wasn't pack but ppl were going nuts....

i only caught 1.5 hr of his set as I arrived late, but I was very very satisfied by the time I left the club...Well done Lee.

So my take on Carl Craig (I didn't make it to Lee because of a failed alcohol experiment the night before ): was a really really good night, only a 2 hour set though, started off very deep and soulful and then took it up a notch with his remix of Hot Chip-One Life Stand which really got people on the floor but the sound system didn't do justice to such a devastating track, I'm pretty sure he threw in his remix of DJ Hell as well, but my favourite moment was towards the end was when he played his remix of one of my favourite tunes of all time, Martin Buttrich's-Stoned Auto Pilot.....I still have my reservations about the clubbing vibe in Dubai though, I feel there's very little camaraderie among strangers (of course it's great having a top bloke and fellow sparring partner like Mo in the house ) which for me is what makes clubbing in Europe and the UK so special.....nevertheless, its all about the music, and nice to see some good DJ's coming down here....next weekend marks the return of an old Dubai institution, club called Trilogy which was THE place to be about 3-4 years ago until it was shut down, Troy Pierce will be in the house so I may check it out

Bro you really missed Lee, he was spot on the crowd wasnt the best ( Dubai) but the music was the SHIT
