Cool, yeah, was trying to say that as nice as possible...Just thinking, with some of the releases that you already have out, and for the success of future releases...Best if you let people/fans of your music base their opinions of "NID" off of your music and not personal opinions about others in the industry and elsewhere.

Prime example: Dixie Chicks.

Besides, you never know, some of your biggest fans just might be the biggest fans of Oakie...Don't want to lose them over something said in an internet forum..

This is silly. NID is far more than just a producer, he is a member of this community, surely he is allowed have an opinion . This has just been blown up out of all proportion, he put a funny video and someone took offence, It happens ! Did he make the video ??

I think Steve's comparison of Oakey to Sasha and JD isn't a realistic one.

They're audiences are poles apart!

they all did early GU comps which are some of the more timeless cd's to date, I used to really rate oakey as a good dj, now not so much, that's due to the path he's taken, and there's nothing wrong with that, he chased big $$$, good for him

I agree there! As a Dj I don't rate him anymore either! Like I said i'll catch him out of a sense of Nostalgia if he's in town.

The likes of that track "welcome to the club, welcome to perfecto" make me cringe, but it's clearly all part of the commercial bums on seats approach to his Residency at Rain in Vegas!

I think anyone who spends time in Hollywood is never the same after it! I think that's were Oakey maybe started to lose touch with his audience of old!

In all fairness he played a Perfecto classics set in 2007 on a Wednesday night upstairs in the Carling Academy Liverpool for two hours to no more than 100 to 200 people and it was just like the Oakey of old from his Cream Residency! He was clearly in his element that night and very happy to be back in the city which will always be his spiritual home
