Noice! - Episode 137 Philogresz (Team, WARE, Treibstoff, Clone)
Today we welcome the wonderful new Talent out of Istanbul, Turkey and one of the hardest working new producers around. Join us in on a journey into the mind of Philogresz. Philogresz aka ilker Soylu was born in that huge metropolis of Turkey ‘Istanbul’ , begin 80’s! In the summer of 2002 he moved to The Netherlands and started his education of music production at Art Academy of Utrecht (HKU) and later stage; SAE(school of sound engineering). Soon after he has set up his own company 078 Productions and has been working as a promoter for more than 5 years which had to end depending on his passion for music productions, performance and recordings. Philogresz sound is moody, melodic, jazzy and organically composed; yet it is arrogantly arranged techno with absolutely no boundaries. Confident enough to experiment on stage with complex beats and percussive lines, he achieves his intention of moving people with his subtle style. He has so far put out our records on labels (selected); WARE, 3rd Wave, Perplex, Manual, Gastspiel, Progcity Deep Trax Stolen Moments, Magnitude, Sound Architecture, and his own imprint TEAM records. Currently he is responsible for label and A&R management of TEAM records started by Dutch techno producer Secret Cinema/Grooveyard. As an artist of TEAM records, he has released ‘ Debut on Blackwarm EP ‘ incl. remixes of Secret Cinema and Qbical, which had numerous overwhelming reviews on International Media, including DJBroadcast, Ibiza Voice, Beatfreax and The Clubbing.. Also his 2nd EP on TEAM ' The Dark Side ' made an outstanding impact on the sophisticated techno scene... In the past years, he presented himself as a producer of the deeper moods of techno and got attention of: Dubfire, Luciano, Sasha, Ricardo Villalobos, Martin Eyerer, Joris Voorn, Karotte, Steve Lawler, Rejected, Rulers of the Deep, Tyler Stadius, Matthias Schaffhäuser, Laurent Garnier and many more. Recently works: - SENTIMENT EP on Sound Architecture records , The EP has been entered to the Juno techno top 50 charts, chosen as the top 8 by Clone’s radio show on Intergalactic FM and it’s on the play list of Loco Dice & Laurent Garnier. – DUSTY RIDES EP on 3rd Wave Music, promising review on DE:Bug, Topsales on Decks.de and Juno.co.uk and in the playlists of Steve Rachmad, Par Gridvik, Joris Voorn, Stephan Bodzin, Someone Else and many more.. – – THE DARK SIDE on TEAM records: with this ep he proofs his wide range of musical quality by getting supports from each corner of techno: from Joseph Capriati to Brandonmoeller, Savas Pascalidis to Billy Delassandro. Tipped by Christopher Colak as one of the best works of Philogresz. – MILESTONE EP on WARE: acoustical sonics meet top notch produced organic techno, Milestone EP shows the real characteristics of today's Philogresz sound.
