There was an article several years ago in GQ about a guy that delivers here in the states. If I'm not mistaken he was set up in L.A. somewhere. He gave a full interview and everything and obviously didn't show his face. I read it while waiting for a haircut and wish I still had the article.

I remember him saying that he drove around without a license plate on his vehicle and whenever he's been stopped he's told the officer that he's had several plates stolen, had his life threatened, etc and would produce a plate from inside the car. He said he always drove very new cars and kept them spotlessly clean so that it lessened any suspicion.

Half Baked wasn't prophetic. That stuff's been going on in New York forever. They even advertise on public access channels.

You mean "how do the get away with it?" I have no idea, but I've seen the ads very late at night. I guess the police have better things to do then watch crappy public access TV.

Most common is like the UK guy said in the article. You have to be referred by someone.

not prophetic, reality. Is NYC the only place on earth where this is common? I've had a door to door for over ten years now!

now as for the public access ads, I've never seen or ever heard of that. would that be on time warner ch. 35? before or after robin byrd?

Haha. Sorry Rubyraks! Missed your entry.

I live in SF now. Rest of family is in NY. I saw it while visiting my brother two years ago, so I can't remember the channel. I thought it was channel 1 though?
