From the first undulating pulses of submariner bass, the first vocals - soft like a whisper in the ear - and the first fizz of hi-hats that force along the pace, the sound is unmistakable. With electronics wrapped effortlessly around songs; streams of consciousness lyrics that form indelible images; a perfectly balanced mix of melody and rhythm. Underworld's sixth studio album is a thundering return to form. Teaser single 'Scribble' makesout like Yellow Magic Orchestra gene-spliced with Grooverider blasting out over a packed out Friday night dance floor at Fabric. 'Always Loved A Film', is an ecstatic blast of pressure-cooked euphoria, whilst at the other end of the scale, the album's closing track, 'Louisiana', is a beautifully sparse and keening number, stripped bare to piano and Karl's vocal.

Whoa. This album is a breath of fresh air on the EDM scene. Unabashedly fun, upbeat, and euphoric.

No kidding. This track is like a sunbeam on a cloudy day...just puts a big fat smile on your face and makes you wanna dance. Excellent track to cheer you up.

That Bid 1 track I have heard in another guise labelled 'Strumpet'. Was in a James Warren set I got from hybridized. They must have renamed it

Awesome! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive and I'm trying very hard not to watch or listen to any of the online samples before I get it. It's kind of hard to avoid since they are promoting this album pretty heavily!

Loving this album, very uplifting and well produced. Perhaps not as techy and experimental as previous ones, but quality is the usual.

Fantastic album, poppier, true, but GREAT tunes. I've got to admit, they were able to hype it with the iTunes Festival and Radio 1 sets, which were all amazing.
